Last Tuesday I had the opportunity to talk with Corky Coker while Jeannie and I were helping out with the Great Race here in Nashville. Coker is a sponsor of the race and also has his 18-wheeler following, helping the racers and also supplying tires when needed.
At any rate, I asked him about WW tires for our Birds. His answer was they are currently working on various sizes, (16", 17", 18" and possibly up to 20"), for modern "classics" and are especially aiming at our TBird tire size. They will be available by February, but perhaps as early as this fall.
They will be available in white, white with red-line, white with gold-line, and red-line. One of the major differences between them and Diamond Back is the tires will be manufactured as whitewalls, not notched out and the white vulcanized on. That should make the white much more stable and not susceptible to tearing if curbed.
No price has been set yet, but I'll let you know when I find out. Although I have over 50,000 miles on my whitewalls now, I'm going to wait for his tires for my next set.
