With such a great car to drive, we need to say something on our plates to show our love for them. What do your plates saw?

Mine are CARTOY. I wanted TOYCAR, but that was taken.

We devoted 8 pages to this sometime back, but the thread stopped in June '05.

I don't have a "BIRD" plate. However, I do have a specialty plate.

It signifies another great achievement of mine. Getting my Bachelor of Science in Business from Mercer University. I worked full time, raised two young sons, and went to college full-time. I am also proud to say I never missed a baseball game or other event that was important to my boys.

Some plates I've tossed around are:

R BIRD, BIRD4R, RMERLOT

Maybe when I get my truck, I move my Mercer plate and add a BIRDY tag to the car.

I was able to get MY TFOR2. During a recent encounter with an Ohio Highway Patrol trooper, he said "I love your plates" and let me off without even a written warning. (Doing 67 in a 55 on a two-lane road.) That more than saved the cost of the plates and then some!

When I had the '02, I had a personalized plate (or as they're called in Arizona, a vanity plate), which read: FNFNFN. It got misread frequently, and twisted into something less than flattering (read just the letters in quick succession, and you'll get my drift), so I dropped it. My '05 just has a standard issue Arizona plate.

The above plate was on my car in 2005 (50th Anniversary of the T-Bird) but my new plate says "Bird" (BYRD). The old plate says "IL BIRD" which stands for Illini Bird (University of Illinois).

Mine says 2K2 TBRD.

By the way recently one of my neighbors had 2 ladies visiting her. She had to bring them over to see my T-Bird. They were taking pictures, so I had to pull it out, drop the top and take pictures of them in the bird. They said they had a friend that loved tbirds and they were going to tell them they had bought a new one.
