It's tomorrow.....are you here?
...and based on that logic, you should be "doing" those guys in their 20's who keep after you on that internet dating site...
Bird is the word..... Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. H. L. Mencken US editor (1880 - 1956)
I plan to drive my bird daily; spring, summer, and fall. But given the winters in Nebraska, I figured I'd keep it garaged for the winter. Would that make it a Winter Garage Queen, or just an Ice Queen?
Cheers,

Just slowly sipping on my coffee, totally enjoying it, catching up on Thunderbird discussions, when out of the blue comes

I nearly chocked from ing.
Good Lord, now you're on their side. I'm surprised one of them hasn't thought of and tried that line.

I've had my '05 for 17 days, 7 of which I was out of town. So, 10 wonderful driving days so far, with 783 glorious miles added. I just love driving this car!
I was thinking... maybe we should start a new poll: Number of hours spent just standing and looking at your T-Bird, thinking "Wow... it's really mine!" Maybe it's just me...
Cheers,
Kevin
Kevin;
We've had our beautiful baby for 23 days and I have over 800 miles on it! Whenever we go out somewhere, I try to talk my husband into taking the Bird and not his Crown Vic! I just love driving that car - it has given me pleasure on the road again!
I got my Bird May 1, 2004 and it has 21,000 plus miles today. I bought it to drive. If my kids want one with low miles, they can buy one themselves. I love every minute of every drive.
Kevin;

Well said Caity.
Happy motoring!

I bought her in 03 knowing that in about 5 years I would lose control of the other daily cars to my kids as they try and take over the driving. At that time I had planned on driving the Bird more on the daily routine.
In the mean time I have fun driving her when I get the chance and have a lot to look forward to in a couple of more years!!!!!!
I hope to add on a bunch of miles next week, depending on the weather.
Going to Boston on the 19th (business), then to North Conway NH (pleasure-might even challenge the Mt Washington auto road, time/weather permitting), and then back to New Jersey.
But, everything depends on the weather. If weather predictions are bad, I'll just do the business trip via Continental.
Going back up to Boston on the 28th. Same scenario.
Unfortunately, all driving will be solo, just me and my CDs.

Ron, Malcom Konners is still there and still pushing Corvettes.
I had my one (and only) new Corvette back in 1965, but, back then, living in North Bergen, NJ, I bought mine from Shea Chevrolet in Hackensack (remember them?)
If I were 10-15 years younger, I'd have another one right now. Not that I dislike my TBird, but, even though the Corvette front end is getting a little too Aisian-ish, IMHO, there's nothing on the automobile market today that can provide the performance/appearance of the new C-6 Corvette especially at that price.
0-60 in the 4's, low 5's? 400 hp and up to 30 MPG on the highway? Unbelievable.
However, if the rumors are true about Ford introducing Mach1 and Bullitt versions of the new Mustang, I just might have to change my opinion.
