Re: Poll #1 - TBN Topics
Here's another one of your posts, Spence: "To begin with the membership has no say in what is and isn't allowed on TBN. This is up to the Justins and them alone. But some people seem to get off on pi-s off other people and trying to take their views on the world and jamming it down the throat of others. For those that persist on doing this..........Either leave the site or just get ban. Simple as that."
Wow, I post a couple of polls and go see a very funny movie, and look what has happened!
Sorry to burst your bubble, Spence, but the poll wasn't about having a Politics Forum. This is one of the things that spurred it on:
"As one who almost stepped in the political area (almost by mistake), can't we just keep this about the cars on this forum."
This is only one of many posts suggesting that topics be limited to cars only. If that's what everyone wants, so be it.
It's very funny to me that the people who complain the most about topics that aren't car related, or complain about controversial topics that they themselves don't initiate are the ones who become most involved when those topics arise. Spence, you are one of the people most guilty of this. It's OK for you to make snide comments about God, or post stuff about unions, or make sure people know your views, but woe be to the rest of us who want to express ourselves.
You know, if people just wanted to visit this site to learn about the Thunderbird, it wouldn't be necessary to hardly ever post. If people would do a search before posting, they would most likely find what they needed.
Maybe I have gone off the deep end, Spence, but what I've been through recently has made me very aware of what's important to me in life. My Thunderbird is way down the list. God, my family, my friends, and my country are what are important to me. Friends and family discuss important issues. Sometimes friends and family have disagreements and fights, but friends and family usually always make up at the end of the day. I thought I had some friends and family here.
What really set me off was when I posted an innocent comment about Quickdraw. When all hell broke out, and I received many nasty emails and PM's, I knew I probably didn't belong here anymore.
When I leave TBN, Spence, it certainly won't be because I'm upset that you've lost respect for me. To be quite honest, that doesn't bother me at all. I'm nothing like you, and quite frankly I'm glad I'm not. I have a completely different belief system than you do, and if it wasn't for the fact that you are on this site, I probably would never have any interaction with you at all. No, Spence, when I leave TBN, it will be on my own terms and I'll leave when I'm ready. When I do leave, I'll be like the old soldier who never dies, I'll just fade away.
