It may have been TVGuide this week or last week. Not sure.

Thanks for the heads up Jerry. It looks like NBC wants out of the NASCAR business after 2006. ABC/ESPN is very interested in picking up where NBC is leaving off. Maybe we can get Dr. Jerry Punch back in the pits again.

        Re: NASCAR Poll - Critical!!!

Around here, nobody talks Nascar at all. Definitely not a water cooler topic.

I have to admit, I lost interest also. Liked it a lot better when you could identify the cars without looking for decals. (I had a 68 Cyclone GT and always rooted for Cale to bring home a win.)

The mid/late 60s Fords/Chevs/Pontiacs actually looked like something you could go out and buy the next day.

What's the Ford racecar based on now, the Taurus? Yeah, right. Soon to be followed by the Fusion?

Ain't knocking anybody here, but there's got to be a reason why the major networks are calling it off.

When I take my 58 Bird out for a spin, it's extremely hard to accept that these cars were once pretty good on the oval back in the "good old days". Must have modified the heck out of that suspension.

You are right Jerry. Back in the good old days of NASCAR the saying was -- "Run what you brung -- and hope you brung enough". These days it's all about marketing and image. And the good ole boy image won't fly this day and time.
