I've seen all the beautiful pictures of Luvbirds hard tonneau covers, and was wondering everyones opinion on which they think looks better on the car and why. I hope to order one this winter and love both the rounded and roadster styles.

Re: Poll: Hard Tonneau Styles
This is the only one I would buy if my wife would let me see my credit cards again. "Too many mods! why can't you just be happy that you got a new car"
She just doesn't get it. Oh also got the news that my 13 yr old tv would cost $600.00
to repair. So what 's a man to do
This is the only one that seems to fit the headrest right IMHO

Re: Poll: Hard Tonneau Styles
I prefer the flat style.

I would like the headrest style if the seats did not have headrests. I don't like the doubling up look. JMHOhttp://www.thunderbirdnest.com/membe...00&ppuser=1190

John, you know what to do with a 13 year old tv that cost $600 to repair. Send it to the same place you told me your used cars end up - the junk yard.sigpic

Re: Poll: Hard Tonneau Styles
To get an accurate vote, the three should be shown in pictures. Do we have access to all three?
John, I don't believe I've seen the one you show above, in your post. Who makes that one? Also, did you add the chrome/stainless around the leading edge? And, is it two pieces that may fit in the trunk?

Roadster-style Tonneau Cover features headrest nacelles with leather-grained caps and 'waterfall' center. Made of light-weight, durable ABS, it installs easily in minutes. This exciting tonneau recalls the Thunderbird Sports Roadster of the sixties.

Re: Poll: Hard Tonneau Styles
Its the most expensive one. It lists for 1800.00 bucks. I like the rounded style I think. Although, I do like the flatter style that Thunderbird Concepts sell. SVC sells a nice rounded one. And one of our members I think sells a very nice rounded one. Cant remember who it is. I think Leisha has the cover.
BTW.....I want one so bad I can almost taste it! Thats my first mod addition come springtime.Last edited by Johnny Gumballs; Sep 29, 2005, 05:57 PM.Johnny Gumballs

Re: Poll: Hard Tonneau Styles
Here are two pictures of NU BIRD with the square roadster style that Gary Kimmel (luvbirds) offers. This one gets my vote. It's in two pieces and fits nicely in the trunk, just wish it had the "waterfall" between the seats like the black one shown above (however, that one will not go in the trunk).
I agree that the double headrest look of the square model on NU BIRD looks a little out of sorts. NU BIRD and I discussed options and think we came up with a viable solution. I won't spoil the surprise, I'll let him post when it's done.Last edited by Blue Heaven; Sep 29, 2005, 06:20 PM.

Re: Poll: Hard Tonneau Styles
Here's mine from SVC in Costa Mesa, CA. This one is a two piece that splits in the middle so it can be stored in the trunk.
Thunderbird Concepts make a similar unit.
