I wonder how this tonneau looks without the seat headrests in place.

to repair. So what 's a man to do

This is the only one that seems to fit the headrest right IMHO

I got the retro tonneau from Gary Kimmel. It fits perfect, easy to install. You don't need any permanent attachments installed on the car. Everything fits together with ease. No vibration or movement at 80 mph. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a tonneau cover. Another plus is that Gary will answer any questions that you may have & give you personal treatment, plus he is a real gentleman.

I kinda like this look. Chrysler Crossfire Convertable. In chrome, of course.

I only took the headrests off for those pictures.

Micamaven was wondering what the tonneau would look like on the car with the headrests off.

                        Thanks

Understand Todd. The Tonneau looks much better with them on. I think if the seat backs were a little higher then headrest would not be needed. IMHO

                            Re: Poll: Hard Tonneau Styles

I haven't looked at this thread for a while so I thought I'd review it this evening. Post #75 is my car!!!!! The photo on the left shows Gary Kimmels tonneau and the one on the right I have to assume is the same car and Roger did a little photo enhancement to lower the height of the tonneau headrests. I always wanted to reproduce the look of the 62 Roadster. Notice the wire wheels in addition to the tonneau. When you look at the height of Gary's tonneau head rest, it may look a little high from some angles. But if you compare it to the '62 it is right on. One of the advantages of Gary's is that it is two piece and can be stowed in the trunk or behind the seats and when installed it goes under the rear deck and does not sit on top. I also have one that is one piece and sits on top of the rear deck so I cannot take it on a trip because I cannot put the top up at night or if it rains. Its strictly a parade or one day outing tonneau.

Bob: Thanks for the explanation. I like the fact that they will stow away in the trunk- Are they stacked in there?

They lay horizontally in the trunk. But if you are on the road and have a suitcase in the trunk they will stand up behind the seats. They come with a heavy cotton cover for each half.
