The '03 hardtop stand has the straps. The '05 platinum hardtop I bought does not have the straps, but I bought straps and a connecter to add to the stand.

My 04 was born topless, I bought an 03 top that was standless and strapless. I made my own stand and use it strapless.

I voted no strap for my 2004, but I am the third owner so it is possible the first owner may have discarded it if it existed. I suspect that isn't the case, though, because the second owner gave me everything that came with the car, from the original sticker to even the plastic bag the tonneau cover came in. If all those things were saved I would expect any straps would also have been saved.
