When I'm driving my Buick LeSaber, I'm an old fart. When I drive the T-Bird I'm in the 20 year old class. So which age group am I in?

Bill, you brought up a good point. Perhaps we all should have voted in the 25 or younger category! BTW, WELCOME to (rather BACK to) TBN!!!

When you reach 50 you become invisible. Doesn't matter if you're going to the beach whether you have a good tan, neat looking swimsuit, sexy sun glasses, etc as they don't even see us.

I am deep in the 46+ category and feel like a kid when I drive my little bird. She is my third: '85, '95 40th anniversary edition, then little red. Sold the '95 and bought a sensible car that can transport 5 adults: 2006 Hemi Charger.

I loved the original 2 seat 'Bird when I was a kid and I told myself that if Ford ever builds another I will buy one -- and I did! First day in '03 I drove down the street some young boys (10-12?) said "sweet ride!" when I passed, made my day! The wife took it to get her hair done and after parking she overheard 3 teens say, "there's another older person with a sweet-ass ride!". Made her day too, even at 50 something! If I want to go fast and sound off, I drive the Cobra, to cruise and enjoy the "low and slow" ride, we take the 'Bird! To Ford I say -- SWEET RIDE!

hey all just take good care of your cars... i will need the parts... something to keep in mind is that tbn is a small portion of t bird owners (though i bet has the largest % produced cars owner than any other car site) most people havent even added to the poll so its not realy representive. there are 3 under 25 posted. i dare say that isent representive of the owners! i finaly saw this poll and threw myvote in!

I am 75 years old and have a Red 02 and a Black 56 mint condition. I really enjoy both cars and drive each often. To me joy of having an unusal car is driving it.

Irecently made a trip from Ft Worth TX to Alanta GA. Wouldnt you know it I got two tickets on one trip. That 02 just rolls to easy.

                  Thanks for listening.

Its funny at my age of 61 I fall in the majority age bracket of 46+ and at another Mustang cite for GO Ponies I am the old man of the crowd. In fact they picked a custom title for me BOGOPOPS (Brothers Of Grabber Orange Pops).
No matter where I am with Birds or Ponies its alot of good fun. Makes us all feel young no matter how old.

Sure is. Just with twenty years experience added!

Thinking this should be closed, and another with more appropriate breakdown of ages. Plus that will help Tony get a date too.

On another note. Took the 64 out around the neigborhood yesterday. Damn, felt right at home in her. Flashed back to then too. All was good.

Young 47 YO here. I've always been a "Ford" man who wanted to drive something that was an eye-catcher. when I was looking, I found the Mustang too young, the Z3 to foreign and the Crossfire just too small. Plus it seems that all sports cars today are styled to make you look like you're sitting in a bucket. You can't even rest your elbow on the sill with flashing your armpit at everybody :)

My '04 bird was the perfect fit! Drop dead looks plus the cache of low production numbers. Its the most fun I've had with a car since my '86 Fiero.

I have people of all ages complementing the car. Especially since the numbers on the road are dwindling.

68 and still going strong. Was an owner of 1955 and 1957 birds. I got tired of keeping them on the road, greasy hands (haha). Now own a 2003 007 with 5000 miles, a 2004 pcr with 1600 miles. Just bought a 2007 Corvette coupe. My wife Val loves driving the birds, but the vette is all mine. Hello to fellow ham, Amateur Radio Station--"KD0QV"--Jim, my call sign is W6ROG, Roger.

I just turned 66, last birthday I remember was 25 when someone said I may have lived half my life.I was looking for a Vette.A friend bought a T-Bird ,he had a vette (tough ride) MBenz 560 (drain your wallet) and loved the Bird.I figured I could buy one ,a convertible to boot for about 10K less than a Vette and it does the job.I also have a 07 Caddy DTS and when I ask the gal which car to ride she usually answers "I like a little luxury take the Caddy" Down in S.Fl. most "sport" cars are owned by over 45 I guess it's the fact we have arrived .
