I don`t know who holds the record but I`m somewhere close.
I bought my 2002 Blue Bird March 9, 2002, planning to drive it when I retire which is coming up soon.
It now has 7800 miles . It stays in the garage under the car cover . I have changed the oil 4 times in 5 1/2 years. And it looks better than than the day I bought it .
My wife says most of the miles have been put on backing it in and out of the garage.
Just curious, who can claim the lower miles , surely there is someone

Don't like to say my "he" (Thunder) is a queen, but for certain he is. Can I say he's a "garage king"?
My problem is that I simply do not drive anywhere very often, and must divide the miles with two other vehicles. My TBird stays in his nest if there is so much as a puddle anywhere. He's nice and clean and shiny, the way I want to keep him. Must say, though, I've NEVER enjoyed driving any other car as much! Just need to get out more often.

Cashmere purchased May o5. Has 1257 miles. Never seen rain and has never been washed since dealer prep. Definately a garage queen. Actually, I drive the 54 Vicky every chance I get. Cashmere is my wifes car but she drives the F150 and Honda Accord. Accord has 220,000 miles. The 54 Vicky has 37,000 and F150 has 105,000. Too many cars.....

Marked the "2,000 miles per year" just because it was the lowest one. I actually average a 500-600 miles per year. But they are fun miles!

Nope, my Lexus takes all the abuse and gets the work miles put on her. But I did drive to Chattanooga last October and Asheville a few years ago. Otherwise, my average would be much lower!

One advantage to not having a garage (car cover) you drive the T-Bird .20k in a little over 2yrs. and I also use my '07Caddy that I put 29K on and I'm retired but I enjoy driving.

Since this was posted, I've worked my way down one notch closer to becoming a garage queen. Oh well, at least I have a BIG smile each and every time I look in the garage!

Re: What is a Garage Queen!

The first 3 years it was a daily driver and I put on about 45000 miles. Then it became a weekender or for long TBN trips. It is now about to celebrate its 9th birthday and has 93000 miles. That is about 10,000/year average, but only 8000 per year over the last 6 years. This year I expect to put less than 4000, but next year will probably be at least 10000 as we will be going to Texas Thunder and then a long trip to the North West.

I would categorize my car as a driven Garage Queen.
Unbelivable TBN trips including ALL of the lower 48 States plus 9 Canadian Provinces, 8 European Countries, 3 Caribbean Countries, Countless National Parks and have attended well over 100 TBN Events since 2001 and counting. Best of all ... fabulous friends.

Can't really say what kind of miles we will put on this car. We have had it about two weeks and when it's not raining I can't get my wife out of "Sunny"

I HAVE SOLVED THIS PROBLEM, WITH FOUR BIRDS YOU CAN DRIVE ONE EVERYDAY AND STILL NOT GET MANY MILES ON ANY OF THEM. JUST ADDED A WHISPER WHITE TO THE FLEET.
