Most of those miles were accumulated attending Thunderbird events!

My '03 Black Bird purchased 12/13/03 still gets compliments at the 4 + year mark and after 36,400 very pleasurable miles of use.
Can't imagine how Ford can make the 2012 Bird any more exciting/better looking and enjoyable than the retro bird.

I know i don't fit the retro bird part, i just like to brag. 240k Plus on my 88 before i rebuilt my motor. The 302 was still running strong and no major problems.

Mine rolled past 28,000 in Nov. 2007. However, I now intend to add very few miles from this point forward. It has been out of the garage only twice since November for about 55 miles.

I used to work for FORD. I called three men this week who are long time Ford dealer managers. No serious plans at this time for a 2012 Thunderbird. Ford likes to float trial ballons and watch the chat rooms to what the interest level may be.

Also just went past 50K with my '04. "Knock on wood" but have had no major problems. Spoke with original owner (bought mine in May of last year) and he had only taken it in for scheduled maintenance.

I have 130,000 miles on mine and I parked it for 4 months , gave it a rest to much SNOW this winter, but I drove it Today I replaced 2 COPS and it runs like Brand New Again . also keep and Eye on your coolant bottle mine had to be replaced due to stress cracks, I went to Green leaf to buy one out of there front clip they had with 21,000 miles and after the guy pulled it out that one had more cracks than mine did so the Good news is the same bottle comes in the Linc-LS so I got one out of a 05 and it was perfect. A good Monday morning to all,

Ours had just over 20k when we bought it last December and we are now just over 21k. However, it's like Dave just said, it's now Springtime, this is when all the car shows start and once I get the top off, I'm sure the temptation to take off a lot more often in FLYAWAY will be hard to resist.

Both me and Rachel are still working and because we use our T-bird mainly at weekends, that will help keep the miles down.

Dave, still looking forward to the Parkway cruise, see you then.
