IMHO - With a Black and Silver color scheme I think the white walls would be the best look for a NM.

I have the opposite opinion from the esteemed Bruce. I feel that due to the silver top and silver accents in the interior that blackwalls are the best choice. Understated and elegant.

Where are these tires from???? I bought from DiamondBack Classics a couple years ago and I'm not that pleased with the durability of these whitewalls.

Diamondback has upgraded the Classic to, now Series 1, 2 & 3. Depending upon your usage. Faulken seems to very highly rated, from users, of their RedStripe. The Series 1, are available in OEM Size. The series 2, is a 55 size. Similar to the Vouges I have on the Merlot. Which fill the wheel well very nicely.

Dave, fashion designers know best - basic black always works. I'd go with OEM.

I'm with SKI black is it. Keep it simple black walls stand out and blend inat the same time.

Having expressed an opinion, which Dave solicited, we should probably go back to a common TBN theme - Dave, it's your car so do with it as it pleases you. None of the rest of us have to be happy with the results, only you do. Lots of folks like chrome and bling while I prefer something more subdued. It's all a matter of personal taste.

I realize that price is not always a good indicator of quality but Faulkens are about, if not the, least expensive tire available in the 235X50X17 and 235X55X17 size. I believe that Faulkens are made by Cooper Tire and now-a-days many Cooper tires, if not all, are made in China. There was a news story on recently about truck tires being made in China and the injuries occurring as a result of them simply coming apart as a result of heat.

Typically lowered priced tires will be hard to balance out, will be more likely to be a bit out of round, and if not noisy from the start they will sure achieve that shortly. However, since they might find their way onto a NM, you may never put the miles on them to see if this is the case.

On the other hand, the Faulken tires may be one of the best kept secrets and best value for the buck out there. Kids sure like them for drifting.
