Re: How old were you when you bought your FIRST RetroBird???
We had just sold our business and I thought it was finally time for a convertible. Since Don had a custom 1955 we used for our TBird club activities, I thought a 2005 Cashmere would give us the option for events and save mileage on his car. Seemed appropriate to have the first and last (at least for now). At a VTCI meet in Conshocton OH I saw the Cashmere and fell in love. Had to find one . . . I was 65 . . . never too late!

51 had been looking for a sports car for some time and my wife did't like any I wanted. We saw a bird on a used car lot and sat in it. She said I wouldn't mind driving one of these. By the end of the summer we bought an black 03. Haven't had as much fun driving sense my midget days.

My ex-wife gave me my 2002 for Christmas.....she's long gone but still have the Birdie...and yes, I think that was the best possible outcome.
PS: I've also got a Sage Green '56, a '73 Mustang Conv that was purchased new in '72 and that's headed for the paint shop in a couple of weeks, and love all three of them.

Re: How old were you when you bought your FIRST RetroBird???
I was 14 when I bought my first T-Bird though. It was an Ice blue 1962 landau top bought new by Miss Mary Ann McKann. She worked with my mom and they car pooled in it until it got too old and a bit rusty had over 100k miles on it and got bad mileage. I bought it for $100.00 and had my 1st car, a part time job, and a restricted drivers license. Life is a bunch more complicated today than it was back then.
