Re: How Did You Find TBN.

Searched on Yahoo in January 2002, right after we got "Blackie", for info on T-Bird Forums. Found Blue Oval Forum, TBN and one other.

TBN is the only one that has survived and grown over the years.

Also found Dot's site then. She's the Best!

I guess I would have to say "Word of Mouth" as my brother who was a Ford dealer at the time told me about it after we both had bought one.

Started out on Blue Oval News in the Thunderbird section before the cars went into production. Migrated to TBN when it came up.

First people with shared interest in the Thunderbird that we met in person were Charlie and Margaret Cain in Biloxi. We were both at the pre-production tour known as the "Living Legends Tour" where 4 pre-production Thunderbirds were on display along with a new Mustang.

Many good times at TBN since then!

I guess I'm one of those "old dirty men". Seems we are a dying breed.

I joined on the one-year anniversary of 9/11. I'd had the car for 1-1/2 months and was just poking around on the web and found it. My initial impression was these people are whack-o and really out there about this car. I quickly joined in the fun.

Its a long story but a quick transaction. Bought it from a Chevy dealer from
the time I saw it to it being in my garage under five hours. That's spur of the
                  moment.

Started on Blue Oval News December 2000, then
                      thru the ranks to TBN.

Also did the Living Legends Tour when they came to
Little Rock, and drove the Red one. That's all it took!

Thanks TBN. Here's to 10 more years.....................

I found TBN to be helpful, fun, uplifting, informative, funny, inspirational, non-political (nearly always) and full of wonderful and gracious participants.

It was either Dots website or blueovalnews.com, it's hard to remember that long ago!

                            Rick,

I found the site through a google search. I joined after Thunderbubba spied my Merlot beauty when he was next door counting beans and left a TBN card on the car.

                            Linda,
Late Thursday, 8-9 p.m., I went past the dealer after being out of town for several days (normally I would take another route that bypassed the dealership). My Merlot beauty was sitting fight up front along with a red, silver, and black. I got to the house and hit the internet and could find nothing about a Tbird in Merlot. Friday I went to work. Stopped on the way home and looked at the car. It was extremely hot. I went back Saturday morning drove the car and then went and looked at a new Jeep and a couple of other vehicles. Saturday afternoon, I called the dealership and had them prepare all the papers. Labor Day, September 1, 2003, the car was mine!

It was as if I spoke the car into being. Earlier in the day those of us who were riding together back from N. GA. were talking cars. My comment was there was nothing on the market that had even caught my eye except for the Thunderbird but I wasn't crazy about the colors I'd seen. I also told them if they ever make one in burgundy, I'll have to stop and look. And the rest is history. There my beauty was just waiting on me to arrive.

Found it through Dot's site. Actually - -my husband found Dot's site as he was trying to find information on my behalf (we just bought the car).

You win! I have no regrets either -- who knew when you bought a car, a whole lot of nice people came with it!
