A little survey. How many people get more comments on their 02/05 Thunderbird. Do you get more having the hard top on your car or with it off? Doesn't mean a whole lot, just curious.

Definitely, my neighbors in Palm Island have voted, and they like the Hard Top ON.
Of course I would rather the Hard Top off so that I can drop the Ragtop in the cool AM, and raise it in the Hot PM, and drop it in the evening again.......sigpic

really would not know...hardtops only been on the car one day,day it came home...may have to put it on just to see...but i get a "nice car" or thumbs up every time i drive it now....Comment

Wouldn't know, either. Don't want one. Don't want to wrestle with it. Can't see the price; don't have room to store it. My top is down if I'm in the car, unless it's raining faster than I can go, or the wife objects.- Ted

I'm the opposite, Only had the top off once, just after I bought it, to see if the soft top worked. I think the portholes are the main styling point of the car.Comment

Yes, I agree with John, the portholes seem to be the focal and nostalgia point that most appear to relate to. Having said that, I should mention that the top remains on.Life without passion is no life at all.

Hardtop off, and softtop down. People just talk to you when you're out in the open and readily accessible. I like the top down but the comments I get are more for the top on. I usually leave the top on for the very cold. Late November to 1st of March.Gary Dawson

Like most of my Fl Comrades I haven't had top on enough to tell. When I use the hard top the weather will be so bad nobody will be talking any way. I agree about the port holes. If I ever replace my soft top I will put port holes in the new one. :-)Comment
