Some are rather minor, but some are expensive with some parts hard to get. Io hope having ESP gives some leverage. The cost of the warranty per year is very reasonable in my opinion. I look at the warranty like I look at insurance. It is for "peace of mind", and I will be happy if I don't use it.
    Thanks, Lou
Appreciate your thanks and the additional commentary. ESP is insurance. No one wants to spend money on anything they think they will never use. And of course if the car goes trouble free, which we hope for, the worst thing that happened is you purchased inexpensive peace-of-mind. When something bad does happen, "Whew, glad I had an ESP. "

One other note I might add: I don't think most skeptics realize just how inexpensively I can provide TBN members Ford's Premium Care ESP, which is essentially having the original manufacturer's bumper-to-bumper coverage on their TBird all over again.

    Thanks again,

    Lou

OK, Lou, I assume I'm the "skeptic" you refer to. However, based upon 1) the service I received under my first ESP, and 2) my car's maintenance history over the last three years, am I really that skeptical? If I hadn't purchased that first ESP, and added that cost to the potential cost of a second ESP, I'd be pretty much way ahead of the game.

Feel free to PM me with an ESP cost for a 20,000 mile 03 TBird, but if I had bought your plan for $1 three years ago, it would have been a wasted $1.

      Odds, Lou, the odds.

You wouldn't be selling ESP's if your dealer reimbursement costs were more than the money you take in. You'd yank that ESP puppy in a heartbeat!

Nothing wrong with that. That's just business. Nothing wrong if someone wants an ESP. That's also business and individual choice.

I'll tell you what I told the guy who wanted to sell me an extended warranty on my new TV.

"I'm going to put some faith in your product."

He didn't have a lot to say after that.

So, if I'm wrong and my car starts costing more than I really like, 1) I'll sell it, or 2) I'll suck it up and pay the bill.

TBird repair costs will not put me into bankruptcy.

      Thanks again.

TV and TBird analogy- The TV doesn't retail for $40,000+. At my desk, even if it's a $20k Focus I tell the customer, "that isn't a home appliance you're taking home today. If it was I wouldn't waste my time telling you about a warranty. A washing machine you put on the curb in the morning and replace it in the afternoon. Can't do that with a car; can you?"

Anyway, I am off today. In the morning I will answer your price question here. I think everyone will appreciate seeing the value.

        Take care,

        Lou

          Lou,
I will say that I was amazed at how reasonable the cost was; especially when you look the dollars per year. It is not like buying this product from the selling dealership where they really put pressure on and tried to get as much for it as they could. Also, I think that you will probably see some sort of a return on the ESP cost if you ever decide to sell the car. I know if I ever bought used car, I would not get one without some sort of warranty. I have only considered used cars that are "certified" from a dealership that at least has a basic 30 day warranty; then I would have to purchase an extended warranty if that did not come with the car - I've had a couple of used car nightmares. This ESP warranty would put the "private seller" on as good or better footing than a car dealer trying to sell a used Tbird.

Answering Jerry's question above- What is the cost of Ford Premium Care ESP (for 3years) for a 2003 TBird with 20,000 miles?

From me: $1,060. At retail, add about $850.

              Good price, Lou.

If I were driving this car at a rate more than 20,000 miles over the first nine years, I'd consider it.

But, since I'm not doing a lot of TBird cruising, I'll decline.

Again, just putting some trust in FORD.

Newbie here Lou. Just what is your whole business and how do you offer such Steep discounts.

Love my Bird but loved my Cadillac Allante. Can tell ya Jerry that we'll be 97 years old and attending those car shows together in 2040. Tearing a car apart at age 65 is no fun. If I had an Extended warranty maybe I would be driving with the top down instead of laying on the cold concrete taking a wrench to the baby. (anybody need a Northstar engine? Aw you probably want one that runs. Hardtop with out portholes?? I can fix you right up!!!!)

what are the age and mileage requirements Lou that prevent enrollment? Thanks will be talking to you soon Lou!

Just bought my esp from Lou for $1445 on a 2004 bird with 45,000 miles, 3 year, 36,000 miles, to me cheap insurance. If you look at the cost of parts for this car it is real cheap insurance! These parts are very high as it is a Jag platform. Do I care if I get my money's worth, HECK NO, as I said CHEAP INSURANCE!

We are on our first original warranty extension and will be eligible for a final extension in 2013 to take us up to 100,000 miles. So far we have had minimal problems and Ford is way ahead of us....but as we fill the gap between 65,000 and 100,000 who knows what will happen. With all the cars we have owned over our lifetime, this car has been the most trouble free, and it's the only car on which we have carried a full factory warranty from day one...go figure. But you know I don't really care because we are comfortable.....

Yes, I like that word, I too have never been one for an extended warranty but as you said, it makes you comfortable.

Another satisfied customer. With a year and a half to go on this warranty, I was finally forced to use it. The money saved on replacing the A/C compressor put me about even with what I paid for the ESP. I'm in the hole for the $100 deductible.

Thanks Lou. I will be renewing prior to Sept. 2013. Until then I'll get many good night's sleep.

I am in Canada with a 2010 Ford Flex nearing the end of my 5yr/100,000KM warranty and am looking to extend it. Are you able to assist out of country?

I've heard that its not too late to get an ESP for a 2002. Is that true?

It's not too late! You have till October 1, 2013.

I just got a 5yr - 48,000 mi. Premiumcare Ford ESP from the local Lincoln dealer. It was at a very reasonable cost. I compared the new ESP to the ones offered online by Lombard Ford.

No inspection was required because I already had a Ford ESP that I bought from Lou Martun. Now, our 2002 T-Bird is covered till September 23, 2018.

The local dealer will put in the paperwork to cancel my 5yr Ford ESP that I got in 2010 from Lou Martun. I still had 2 years available on that one. But, you have to cancel the old one to get the new ESP. Hopefully, I will get a refund on the cancelled portion of that ESP to reduce the overall cost somewhat.

If you have a 2002 T-Bird, and you want a Ford Premiumcare ESP, don't hesitate on getting the ESP before October 1!
