63,000 on "Annie", it took from August of '06 till now to add 53,000 to the 10,000 she had when I got her. Put on 10,900 miles in 5 weeks of 2009 driving cross country with another TBNer on an epic road trip. Some call it a "bucket list trip".
Cal
SugarBabe picked "Blackie" up on January 15, 2002, from Shamrock Ford in Dublin CA, with 14 miles on the odometer.
Today, March 25, 2011, it reads 44,012.0 miles.
Lots of FUN miles with some GREAT Friends from TBN!
We picked up our 04 on June 3, 2008 with (37,800km), 23,500mi and when we stored her last fall, we were at (91,500km), 56,900mi of wonderful evening, weekend cruises and TBN events
Our red 2002 has about 13,000 on it now. Our first TBN event was the 55 anniversary of the Thunderbird in Dearborn. It was only 2 miles from home, so didn't put many miles on it that week. What a week. 298 Thunderbirds in one location for a great time. 550 people enjoying great company. Driving the Ford test track. Cruising inside Greenfield Village after hours. I have great memories.
I'm amazed how few miles some have on their cars, cars 2 and 3 years older than mine with 1/3 or less miles. No way I could drive my car that little. Maybe it's because I live in South Florida or the fun I have taking extended road trips with the top down, no garage queen here, I'm driving this thing, however I haven't driven it as much this year as in the past, I'm driving it till it's "done in" or I get fed up with it. Past couple of weeks I've just been cruising around, along the beach, just early summer fun and enjoying it.
I definitely don't drive mine enough!!! Too much salt on our roads this winter, plus I couldn't get out of my neighborhood many many days and our parking lot at work is not birdy's friend to say the least! The spaces are small and we have lots and lots of big ole redneck trucks that have to park too, so it makes me nervous to park!!!!
Got my '02 in October 2002 and it has 23,300 miles on it (took it out of winter storage this morning so I saw mileage right away). It's stored during the winter months and goes for cruisin' and vacations the other months.
2002 Ford Thunderbird Premium Torch Red partial interior (sold June 2013)
2015 Acura MDX SH-AWD Entertainment & Technology Pkgs Graphite Luster Grey Metallic
2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime XSE Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) Wind Chill Pearl White Tri-Color/Black
Purchased my 04 PCR (239 of 1000) in September 10 with 19,000 mi. on the odometer. I put 1,000 in September and October before putting it away. I just retired last Friday so the Bird will get a good run in 2011. Can't wait for the spring rains to wash the salt off the roads.
