Oil change every 6 months over 10 years would equal 20 changes. So in that respect I'm behind 5 oil changes!

Just went out to look and was 300 miles over the 35,000 mark. Mostly events, vacation and week-end trips.

This Saturday, we Florida owners (and a few out-of-Staters) of Retro Birds will be celebrating with an all day huge Tenth Birthday Party.

Last count for the morning 25 mile caravan/parade is 60 cars. 17 of those cars are 2002 models - -we will pay special tribute to them after our lunch during afternoon activities.

There will be multiple birthday gifts for all who attend. Arguably, it could be the largest Thunderbird birthday party anywhere. A great milestone for a great American-made automobile. It will be a memorable event for all of us priviledged to own one.

Just think,,, Amost half of all retro T' birds made are 10 years old. We will all soon be looked at as owners of old cas rather than old car owners.

We bought ours with 85000 miles on it and we have added another 4000 to it this summer.

The rule of thumb is the following for the maximum you have to pay for:

Take the year of the car and multiply by 1,000,000 and divide it with your millage.

So, it gives for your case:

( 2002 X 1,000,000 ) / 86,000 = 23,279 $ MAX

The deal should be between for a car in mint condition of 3/4 to 4/4 of the MAX price:

So, it is between 17,459 $ to 23,279 $

If not in mint condition, that will be 2/3 of the max price, so in this case, 15,519 $ and so on.

Does-it sound good to you? and does-it match the price you pay for?

So, you have understood that it is a joke. How can we ask a tbird owner
to tell us the price that he bought his car on this website?

For me, it is not a problem:

Just multiply the USD / CAD currency by 2.2 and divide it by your millage in KM
and plus 13,000 and you will get the final result. So, I will exceed the amount above in CAD for my car.

Where is the problem?

There is no problem. The most important thing for the Tbird owner, is to like their car whatever the price was to get it. There is no question at all. Just to be proud of what you get it.

What's the big deal? I paid 27K for my 04 in 07 with 7K miles on it. It now has about 19.5K on it. So what's it worth, with your formula? My calculator doesn't go that high. Leroy
