Ladies and Gentlement,

First of all, I would ask the administrator to this website of not moving that post to the TBN Event. There is another post about the same topic at that location. But I know, I could reach more members in this location.

As some members suggested, is to make a poll about the time frame of this event for the next summer in 2012. So, this is what I am doing now to know if you are interested or not to have a TBN Event in Québec city in Canada.

It is a question of your avalability. If you are interested, please provide your answer in this poll. So, Il will be in a better position do to the next steps. Thanks.

Alain, just so you know, we are planning a Big 10th Anniversary Event in Nashville, TN in June 2012. When planning an event it is best to not plan big ones too close together so it will give people a chance to attend both. Late summer or early fall may work. Perhaps you may want to plan one for 2013? Just a suggestion.

Summer is short here. It should take place in July or August in Canada.

I do not think that it will interfere with your TBN event.

So, the poll will let us know if members are going to make a trip in Canada for a next
event this summer.

I voted for the last week in August as first choice to separate it a far as possible from the Tennessee event.

Like I said in the other thread, we would be very interested in attending if the timing is right.

Several of us have a tradition of making a long trip in the late summer/early fall so this would be a good chance to add a TBN event into the mix. It might even give a couple of folks I know a chance to add Rhode Island to their state total.

There is a very good chance many of us would attend an event in Canada, but can't pull off both the Nashville 10th anniversary event and another event within just a couple of months.

Have passport will travel and would love to visit particularly with a bunch of other Tbird members. I hope scheduling works out for a time when a lot of us can attend. One thing I know is plan it and people will come, if at all possible.

Would love to attend. Quebec is one of our favorite cities to visit. Unfortunately, our travel plans for 2012 are already booked. Wish it could be delayed for one year.

If it should be delayed the next year, it could not be mine because I am planning to retire and moving during the summer.

If I could have at least 30 participants, that will be great. It could be also less expensive if you want because of your previous event. Just let me know of what you are looking for.

From mid-August to the end, it is a good choice for those that would like
a confortable temperature. Not too warm and not too cold. It is confortable.

Sorry about my English written if I made some mistakes.

This is the way to have a different TBN event with a different culture in another
country.

I should have a better idea of the total number of participants before going any further. It is because of your Nashville event. I have time enough to make arrangement. It is not too late.

In Canada, the best time for such an event is July or August.

Two of the larger Thunderbird "clubs", ITC and CTCI, have their annual conventions in July and August respectively. The ITC event is in the Philadelphia area, the CTCI in Memphis. These events could affect a July or August date for those members of those groups that are TBNers as well. But probably not significantly.

I was planning, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Hoping it will be sunshine days all the time.

It depends of the number of participants.

What I am looking for is the following. It is just an idea for the time being.

First day in afternoon after arrival the previous day:

Having a bus to travel in old Québec city. To see the Frontenac castle and "les Plaines d'Abraham". You will see " La rue St-Jean and St-Louis and " la rue du Trésor" and so on. You will be in the very old Québec city which is nice. You can do shopping if you want. It might be the day after. We could swap.

Having a dinner in the old city together.

The day after:

Using our Tbirds to travel at the Boulevard Champlain near the St-Laurent River and going to the old city with our cars. You will be surprised of the travel. More actions to come.

Next day:

For those who would like to see the beautiful Church at St-Anne de Beaupré, that will be the good place for you. Many people like to visit that Chuch including the american people.

Depending of the total number of participants, I could make arrangement with a local Ford dealer to plan more activities during that time to help me.

You should understand that it is a question of planning knowing the number of participants. I have enough time
to provide to you a good trip in Québec city during that summer.

You can provide to me your ideas of what you are looking for about me for such an event.
