How many $$ have you spent to your car?

The purpose of this poll is to know the amount of $$ that you have spent to maintain your car in a good condition excluding the warranty, whatever the warranty is.

It includes the mods and all the features to attact a new buyer if you have to sell your car or not. You might decide to give it at one of yours children for example.

So, what are your expenses since you have this car for repair and so on. Just to give us an amount of what it will cost to have this car as an owner whatever the year is and to keep it. It is just to give us an idea of what you have spending up to now.

I do not see a poll here but I could not publish the number because my wife might see it.
Virtually nothing on repairs but the mods have added up faster than I ever expected.

Not sure I really understand your question. Are you asking how much money we've spent on the car? Like add-ons, etc?
"How much $$ have you spent to your car?" doesn't make sense to me.

I have only spent around 1K on mods and a couple hundred on repairs.

I guess I've been lucky.
My '05 has had oil changes and gas. That's it.
KoW...it still has the original battery.
It will get new tires sometime this summer.
38,000 miles on it now.

Mods- 0, repairs- too much

About $7.5K on the '03 Red Bird.
About $5K on the '05 Inca.
About $20K on the '07 Saleen.
$0 on the two daily drivers.

All mods, the only other costs have all be general maintenance, oil changes, filters, tire rotation, etc..

What about ESP costs?

Also, average cost per mile might be interesting as it somewhat takes into effect the year of the car and the mileage. (All things being equal, older retros with higher miles will have higher costs).

Over the 10 years I have spent about 5k. Replaced the cops, 1000, heater control valve 600, transmission and rear-end work, rotors and brake pads are the major items. 120,000 miles and 10 years ... not too bad. It is a bit more than normal but it has been worth every penny. My car has not been babied at all. I drive it hard and fast.
