  • WHICH C.O.P.'S FAILED FIRST

I JUST WONDERED IF THERE WERE COMMON C.O.P.'S THAT FAIL FIRST.
I ALLOWED MULTIPLE ANSWERS TO ALLOW FOR ALL THAT FAILED THE FIRST TIME YOU HAD TO TAKE YOUR CAR IN FOR SERVICE.

First, #1, at 33k miles and five years of age. A few weeks later, #2 and #8. A few more weeks, #3. That was over a year and 8k miles ago; nothing since.

So far: 10 1/2 years and 83,000 miles and all still going well. Soooooooooooo, I can't vote.

I voted for all 8 since the dealer replaced all on the extended warranty from Ford under program 07N09. "Test and verified water intrusion into the coils. Replaced 8 coils, 8 spark plugs, wiper motor covers, and bracket seal." This is a one time repair, done about 6.5 years after I purchased the car.

My first COP failure was at 53,000 miles. In the 20,000 miles since the first failure (4) more have failed with the last (2) on my trip to TenThunder in Nashville. Had the Town and Country Ford dealer replace them while we were doing the Bus Tour of Nashville. It's a small inconvenience since the car has always been drivable, just not as much fun!
