Time doesn't stop for any of us. The only good thing about aging, is everybody is doing it. Next year I've got the dreaded birthday with a zero in it. So tell us Spence, even with the small response so... far, how have things changed? I'm glad to see I'm in the most popular group....

A quick comparison between this chart and the one that started 5 years ago show ...

Median: 61-65 (2011) / 66-70 (2016) ... expected
Under 40: 3.1% (2011) / 1.1% (2016)
Under 50: 13.6% (2011) / 4.4% (2016) ... substantially different
Over 75: 5.6% (2011) / 14.4% (2016) ... also a big change

Now some caviats to the data:
- This data doesn't necessarily show TB owner data, but rather TBN user data. Probably relatively similar, but "active" participants in TBN is only a small percentage of all owners.
- The 2011 poll was populated by data over the last 5 years and not necessarily info from 2011 only.
- The outlier datapoints (like under 40) can be skewed just by having a couple of people in that category opting to take the poll.

My opinion is there is nearly zero interest in this model in the young generations (Gen-X, Millennials). I doubt this will change over time and it is unlikely that there will be an increase in collector value anytime soon.

Jay the stat that I like is that >80% are over 60.

As Black Beauty said, he was happy to be in the largest group. Me, I'm just happy to be in any group.

Yup ... the overall group has definitely shifted. 2011 poll had only 1/3 over the age of 65 - today's numbers show 2/3 over that same age!

AT 35 I imagine I am one of the youngest, at least so far.

In the vintage Thunderbird club with my "55 / 57" Birds I am 37 years younger then the next member when I joined at 29.

I feel a little offended by the unbounded limits of the last age group. Why is it not 76-80 followed by 81-85, followed by 86-90, etc.? Let's find out who the really experienced owner/drivers are!
