I've said in another post that I never will see, hear the word or eat a banana split without thinking of/remembering Sir Ronald McCloud. Sure that goes for many TBNers.

Yes indeed. I wish I could have taken him to the Jersey boardwalk for some Kohrs banana frozen custard.
Maybe we can plan a TBN ride to Ron's home town in Tennessee to honor him once we are all vaccinated and past this covid pandemic. A Tbird gathering for one last banana split in memory of our friend and fellow Bird lover.

Now that's a trip I won't miss out on for sure. Let's get the boarder opened.

Well I do not have bananas, whipped cream, strawberries or cherries but I do have ice cream so as I sit here alone I thought I'd raise a spoon to a great man.
My banana split in memory of Ron: includes vanilla & coffee ice cream, butterscotch and cherry syrup, whipping cream (not whipped - it's the taste that counts) and the cherries on top. Oh and a splash of rum (which is out of my realm but occasionally it appears). (Don't know Ron's drinking tastes).

:) George like his ice cream just about every night so we have the extra stuff hanging around just in case. I like coffee ice cream with little choc. bits. and I'm happy. btw. Coffee ice cream is hard to find around here so we get it when ever it can be found.

I agree that would be a fitting tribute to Ron. I met Ron at the Pappasito's 2020. This was the first event for Cathy and I to attend together. We have met some really nice TBN people. And I mean genuinely nice people. Ron and Liz were two of those people. Ron sat and talked about the cars and you could tell how much he liked visiting with friends, new and old. I am at such a loss for words to hear that COVID took his life. As I type this Cathy and I are both recovering from the virus. Fortunately, our cases are mild but everyday, I hear bad news about someone not surviving. It seems like it is always good people that we lose. So when we can travel and meet as a group again, we will be there and would look forward to going to Ron's home town. And to everyone, be safe in your gatherings and if you think it is just a head cold or sinus infection, get tested. My prayers to Liz and Ron's family and to all my new TBN friends.
