So very sorry to hear about Rosetta. Glad the surgery went well. Now comes the fun part of recovery. I know first-hand how much falls on the caregiver during recovery. Our thoughts are with both of you. Take care of yourself too Paul. Give Rosetta our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Love to both of you from Judy and Spence.

Glad she's in less pain now. It's going to be quite an adjustment for both her and the "great nurse, cook, dishwasher and launderer".

ps to Rosetta: George loved his recliner more than ever back in December.

                Update on Rosetta recovery:

Overall she is feeling better, but she is relatively immobile with her leg in the brace until at least next week. She doesn't feel comfortable trying to use crutches because of the angle of her leg, so we're using a wheel chair and small desk chair to get her where she needs to go. The last thing we need is her falling so whatever it takes.

Her pain is generally better as long as she doesn't have a lot of movement. She hasn't had to use that many narcotics, so we are thankful for that. This morning she had an appointment with her regular doctor that we decided to keep since they are a pain to get rescheduled. We made the trip fine and even stopped for lunch on the way home, but it has worn her out, so she's taking a nap.

She wanted me to be sure to tell everyone thank you so much for the TBN posts, cards and calls she has received. We've had some help from our daughter and granddaughter, but for the most part she's been stuck with me, so messages from others really lift her spirits.

We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers.

Does that mean you attach a rope to it and tow her behind your TBird?

Good thinking! Save them for use when you're feeling better. Much more fun that way.

Once again Rosetta is in need of your prayers and good wishes. Last Thursday in a very freak occurrence she broke her heel bone on the same side as the knee cap that has been slow in heeling. She said she could hear the bone pop and then had tremendous pain. I'm sure she did as she simultaneously let out the loudest scream I think I've ever heard from her.

Today we got good news and bad news from the orthopedic team and the podiatrist. The good news is after all this time, ortho is letting her take the leg brace off so she can start bending her knee. The bad news is the podiatrist scheduled her for surgery tomorrow to add two more screws to her growing collection. Guess her foot was jealous of her knee. So this means more time of complete non-weight bearing and dashes our last hope of getting to attend the Sarasota event.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of this news update. Prayers for a successful surgery and recovery. Maybe with the knee now mobile she can get into the T-Bird for some short cruises. Stay healthy.

Send the best regards to Rosetta and for a speedy recovery! I’ve been fighting Plantar Fascitis in one of my heels for close to three months now and I know the aches.
