Yes Greg, I sure agree but the following on Ryan Shazier is even sadder. Hopefully Carson will be back in the saddle for next September.
Doctors are controlling and limiting his movement as they wait for the swelling and bruising in his back to subside, sources said.
It is premature to say whether Shazier will play football again, but the focus right now is not on his playing career but on trying to facilitate his recovery.
This is just a report, and not an official release from the Steelers organization, but as stated earlier, any good news for Shazier’s health is worth noting — even if it is minimal improvement.

As Schefter stated, the future for Shazier shouldn’t revolve around football, but living a healthy, and fully functional, life. If Shazier is able to one day come back and play football, it would be a tremendous story, but the focus now is him standing, walking.

You’re right, Bill. Ryan is facing a tough battle. My nephew’s stepson,Vince Williams, is a Steelers linebacker. Ryan and he are very close. Vince will now be taking over the defensive play calling.

Vince Williams was getting ready for the Steelers' first practice of the week Wednesday when he looked over at Ryan Shazier's vacant locker and saw ...

Carson actually stayed in the game for four more plays after the injury including a touchdown pass. How tough is that?

This really points to the work ethic found in North Dakota with Carson a prime example

Dak, Zeke and the rest of the Boys finally took care of business tonight. Maybe there is a slight glimmer of hope for the season after all.

Both teams have the same record. Doubtful for either. I'm wondering if Easton Stick 38-3 for the Bison will get drafted

Lots of theories as to why, but the Birds have been stinking up the joint all season. They even managed to make the Cowboys look good. Don’t be deceived, Paul. Both teams are bad. The Eagles just burned next years third round pick to get Golden Tate. Then they keep him on the bench for a game that

they had to win to keep hope alive.

Sorry for the split post. No idea what happened.

I have no illusions that the Boys are better than mediocre, but it's always nice to beat one of the arch rivals. Ha, Dallas mortgaged the future even more by giving up a first round pick for Amari Cooper.

At least Cooper didn't tear his achilles tendon on his 2nd day with the team [ref. Dez Bryant, NO Saints].

We went to our first Bucs game in about 4-5 years yesterday. What a waste, it was so bad we left at the end of the 3rd quarter, it was 6-3 and the Redskins were on the Bucs 8 yard line driving for the knockout blow. The Bucs got inside the Redskins 20 yard line 5 times resulting in INT, missed 30 yd FG, 33 yd FG, lost FUM, lost FUM. The Bucs gained over 500 yards and only scored 3 points, first time in NFL history. Yes, they are historically bad. 4 turnovers, no takeaways. We sat on the visiting side. There were more Redskins fans than Bucs fans throughout the stadium. Sure makes you wonder how did the Bucs beat the Eagles in week 2?

How would this help a football team?
