  • Vanity Plates

I know y'all just love polls, so here it goes. It's almost time to renew my registration and since I gave up my vanity plate on my Ranger, I want to put one on the T'Bird. California has brought back the black-with-yellow writing plates from the 60s and I think that would look good with the Cashmere and the leopard seat covers. I'm having a hard time deciding what to write. I wanted Thundercat, but no amount of wrangling around with different combinations were available, must be popular. Here are the ones I'm considering let me know which you prefer:

Personally, I think the last two will be too hard to figure out for most, so the top 4 are probably the ones I'll be considering. So far an informal poll at my office shows PRTBIRD the front runner.

    Thanks

PS <Please don't shoot me for considering a sacrilegious funky mod with the jag wheels>

Hi Will the limit is 7. You can use half spaces and one full space, no zero, have to use an O. You can actually go to the CA DMV website and play with it and see what the plate will look like and then see if it's available... kinda fun actually.

Rusty I KNEW you would come up with something, you wordsmith you. I'm open to any ideas, I just don't like the plates where you can't figure them out. It's like an inside joke you're not part of...

I'd think twice about putting anything related to my name on a plate in today's world.

I think Rusty's LEOPBRD is pretty clever. Just one letter off from the real cat. People can't help but get that (most anyway).

I also like PRTBIRD. It contains both Party and Tbird.

To help you visualize all together:

It occurs to me that 5OJALO5 could be interpreted by the reader as "So Jealous"... which is what they would be while looking at your awesome T-Bird!

PRTBIRD could also mean "pretty bird" or "Puerto Rico Tbird".

Pretty Bird was the intent, I hear "that sure is a purty bird" all the time. I'm not much of a party bird but I guess driving it is like a party in the car.... Definitely not Puerto Rican, although married last name is Lopez...lol

50JAL05 gets my vote for the undertone of "Jealous" because, who wouldn't be?
