  • Interesting thing found on N-M hardtop

While doing maintenance on the Neiman-Marcus hardtop, discovered something new.

The hand-painted number "33" on the black metal subframe behind the driver's side locking pin.

Numbers are about one-half inch high and white color.

Anyone else's top have numbers in this area?
We're lighter. We're faster. If that don't work, we're nastier.

Never noticed it on mine. On the other hand, it's on the label of every bottle of Rolling Rock. It's meaning is unknown. Furthermore, every GI in Viet Nam remembers the name of the local beer there: "33," pronounced something like "bah-mee-by." ---Will

I think you nailed it, Will. Newman's top was built by a guy drinking Rolling Rock.
