Took the Tbird out the other night and the passenger side low beam headlight was out. High beams work fine. Removed and tested the bulb and it is good. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem before I take it to a mechanic?
Thanks
Hi, I believe there are two filaments in the bulb, but not sure. One could test good and the other??I think your local auto parts store might be your best bet to test the bulb and find out for sure
I tried 2 other bulbs with the same result. A goggle search turned up some sort of electrical module under the passenger dash area as a possible problem. Didn't know if anyone else had the same situation. I have the ESP so I may see what the dealer says. Thanks for your input.

I guess if it's not the bulb it could be in the wiring from the dimmer switch.. If it was the switch it would effect both lights.

I had the same trouble low beam passenger side. I wrote in the other thread how i "fixed" it, for now, after checking every fuse, relay, connector and ground wire with multimeter and test light. Bought a pair of 9007 5 inch extension harnesses with heavy guage wire from Advanced Auto for 15 bucks. I removed the two outside wire pins from the male side connector and swapped them.(high and low beam wires) Plugged them in and bingo...working low beams on both sides. No cutting or splicing of original wire harness. When i get the FEM rebuilt ill just unplug the extra harnesses. Works in a pinch.
I had the same FEM problem and dealer invoice ( covered under warranty) showed about a $700 cost. Members should be aware there are two fuses L&R when trouble shooting problem. I consider this a design flaw with our tbirds
