  • '64 Thunderbird ignition spacer?

I have been attempting to install a new ignition onto this '64 bird, but have been having a hard time getting it to fit.

Have purchased the switch, lock cylinder, bezel, and an ignition spacer from a '64 Mustang I thought would fit.

Unfortunately the spacer designed for a Mustang will not slide through the ignition hole from the back. As you can see tried installing the spacer from the front sticking out, Installed this way the key would not turn.

I cannot seem to locate any reproduction of a supposed Thunderbird spacer, if they were even used. Any other part I would need in order to install this ignition system correctly?

    Help much appreciated!

You might look at this video. https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt...b-top-&fr=ipad

dont think it shows a spacer used.

Not sure if the link works. There is a YouTube video showing a 1964 Tbird ignition switch install. You can search for it.
