Guess I don't understand why anyone would want to own a car and never drive it?? There is not one car out there that I could ever afford to buy that would appreciate in value enough for me not to drive it.

I personally don't think it has anything to do with appreciating in value at all. It may however have something to do with not depreciating as rapidly as many. Some people just like garage jewelry and then some people just don't drive that much to begin with.

Just my 2 "bit-coins" worth.... I've seen more than a few very low mileage vehicles that were treated so poorly - cracked leather, surface rust, scratches galore.. for me, it's much more important HOW the car is maintained and detailed than simply an odometer reading. I've said this in a previous post, for example all 2002 cars are 15 years old whether driven or not - what counts is how a car is treated.

              I have under 24K on my 2003.

I just don't have anywhere to drive it. My wife is definitely not the "cruising with the top down" type, and, I'm not about to drive cross country solo, Cruising the same local highways got a bit old. When I was employed, I took it to work occasionally, and on a few business trips to New England (from Jersey). But, that was ten years ago.

Now, it's become a real garage queen.

I'd take it to car shows, but then my Galaxie would just sit in the garage, and I ain't gonna let that happen..

I don't think mileage is a big deal unless you own a museum. If buying I would be cautious of a very low mileage car. They can have just as expensive issues as one that was driven. The key words are normal and abnormal. For this type of car ( 2 seater toy) 3-5 K miles a month seems pretty normal to me, and many are less.
