It would be the first time I've gone to this event. But yes, it would be the first event for ROXY. I've skipped it in the past because I felt like it was for the founders of TBN who got their Thunderbirds when they first came out in 2002. Since mine was an '05 I felt like a newbie.sigpicComment

I'll look for DavidA's announcement and plan accordingly. I don't believe it will be a problem to get away from Charleston for a few days and every event I've attended that David was involved in planning has been great. One of my favorites was Choo-Choo Thunder, but all the TBN events have been the best road trips ever. I'm still praising Wisconsin Thunder and the "House on the Rock". It's amazing how many Cheese Heads I know who have never been there!sigpicComment

No going back to the Rib Ranch. They are shutting their doors for good on December 24th. Wife and I go there about once every three or four months.

Amen, Spence! Because of Jeannie, David and a few helpers hard work on our behalf, this annual gathering has gone from a Sunday lunch, that we could never justify attending, to a 3 day event that we can't stand the thought of missing.Originally posted by Gobird View Post

Pappasito’s 2013 was the first TBN event we ever attended. We were concerned if new people were accepted because we had joined a local oldies car club that was very cliquish and unfriendly. We decided we would go to the Saturday activities and if the people weren’t friendly we wouldn’t go back for Sunday lunch. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and we’ve gone to every TBN event we possibly could since. A lot of the people we’ve met and traveled with now feel like family.

We are newbies for sure and would like info on this. We got our Bird recently. We can probably start coming to some of these events if we can fit them in around our car club schedule as we are both officers and board members of the car club with our 1953 F100 and 1934 Chevy hot rods. If the Bird members are as nice as our hot rod members it will be a great way to expand our friend base.Comment
