OK, now im completely confused. My 2005 Tbird obviously needs the ignition coils replaced and reading the above, should I buy the best (Motorcraft) or a no name?. Do I need to replace all 8 or just the ones that have failed? Should I replace the plugs at the same time? And finally, which coils do I buy, what's the correct part number, there seems to be a wide range of parts looking at a place like Autozone.

      Welcome, Tom!

Lots of opinions as to brand. Many have been very happy with even the least expensive out there. Once you start to have problems you should probably do them all as others are sure to follow. The hardest part of the job is removing the covers. If your problem is on one bank, change that entire bank at a minimum. Be sure to change the plugs while you have it open.
