That's a great one Bob, I think that is just what he is looking for, now we need someone to cut off one of those wings and clean up the right wing tip.

How about a nice picture of your own car? Maybe something out of the box. There are endless possibilities.

Leave it to a Bob to provide great images. If I ever make the plunge to upgrade the radio I'm going with the very last one Bob (Rbird) provided.

Question: do these radios allow you to resize the images or crop them?

Thank you all. I have favorite of those you guys posted. Now I have to figure out how to load it to the radio. The audio shop did it the first time. I will post up updates if I get one to work.

These are cool and I may have another use for one of them, so thanks in advance! When I rented a car in California in December for my golfing trip with a buddy we decided upon a 2018 Mustang Convertible to do the Big Sur drive, since I a) couldnt find a retro to rent, and b) wouldnt have been able to fit our gear into one anyway! Long story short - when we pulled into the hotel parking lot in Carmel the first night and opened my drivers door, my eyes were drawn to the pavement beside the car where a bright white projected Mustang logo was looking up at me. That freaked me out and it took about 3-4 minutes for the two of us to figure out where it was coming from. The Mustang has a projector light built into the door mirrors.
When I was up at the cottage Tuesday checking in on my baby (been stored for the winter in the garage up there) I checked out the mirror cowling/cover and there does appear to be room to mount a small projector in there, so I started checking them out. You can pick up a set pretty inexpensively off of Ebay that either run off the courtesy door lights in the car and mount in the door to project 'downwards' when the door opens, or a battery operated set that stick to the inside of the door panel and work pretty much the same. They even have a Thunderbird logo option that comes with it but I wasnt crazy about their logo so I want to try one of these.

                    Check these out at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-T-bird-L...19.m1438.l2649

I've already gone on record as saying that I want to keep my Retro all original without any mods, but I am definitely making an exception for this one- it's just too cool!

I assume the logos are on a small piece of film that inserts into the top of the projector and not an uploaded image file?

That's my understanding, but they are supposed to be interchangeable and you're supposed to be able to send them an image and they'll recreate it for you as part of the purchase price...

Greg - what films/emblems do you have access to ? I'd be looking to get in touch with the manufacturer of this product to see about getting the Thunderbird emblem that appears in the middle of the TBN logo - the single, wide blue wing on a silver/white body. It appears in Cabrio Bob's post above. As you've got a set of these, are yours hard-wired into the car and set in the underside of the doors, or are they the battery operated version that adheres to the inside door panel ?

Battery operated. LA Phil has the film. I've just got my several different TB logos. One in my car currently is the retro logo
