Has anyone installed the caliper covers on the '04 7 spoke rims?

The 16 spoke wheels are thicker at the caliper point on the rear wheels. I found out the hard way when I put the 16 spoke wheels on my '05 before I sold it. Scraped the red paint off the caliper covers immediately as I backed out of the garage. The aluminum 16 spoke wheels are just a tad too thick. No problem with the 7 spoke Chrome wheels.

Thanks for info. Description on website only said caliper covers fit factory 5 spoke rims. I wanted to be sure before going through a lot of trouble for nothing.

Just paint the existing calipers. Looks good and is inexpensive.

Bringing this back up, firstly are the 03 and 04 OEM 7 spoke wheels the same? Installing the caliper covers on the 03 OEM 7 spokes is not looking too good. I have been via email chatting with MGP and they have given hints to get them on without rubbing the caliper on the edges but It is very very tight as I tried one last night on the front where. I feel any good bump would have them rubbing the wheel. I asked this previously but would a minimal spacer of less than 3mm do the trick to give more space between the covers and the caliper?

Honor the sacrifices our predecessors paid for our country.
