I thought I remember way back when that the "sail panel" (in between the top and the trunk with the 3rd brake light on it) was available for sale from FORD already painted. My questions are as follows:
1) How much were they from FORD?
and
2) Why did they have them for sale? (they ordered too many? Because of the hardtop scratching?)
Just seems like an odd part to have available painted when they never sold many other more useful parts (like replacement rear fender panels or painted bumpers)
