  • Co-operation from my dealer

Took the 'bird in for oil change, state inspection for new tags and got caliper covers installed. I had them check for anything that needed attention soon and, yea!, they agreed to replace the ball bearings (front) and those rear bushings that are rotting away. I have one month left on esp so was really happy they agreed to handle this. No noises or problems yet so I wasn't sure if they'd do it or not. It's always good to get service at a dealership.

Happy days! End of this month esp is done. Took car in due to a/c problem. Winds up the actuator was broken. When the back ordered part arrived, installation showed the real cuprit.. the door was broken which eventually broke the old actuator. So it will be fixed soon. Dealer had to get a plenum (the unit with evaporator, actuator & door) from another dealer (in Alabama) and have pulled the dash waiting for the part. Hopefully, this will last a very long time (like maybe another l0-14 yrs). And the beauty of it all is I finally got my money's worth from the esp. Service manager said this will take 5 to 6 hours labor and with the part will run right around $1500. I tried to talk him into replacing the struts but he said they were fine (even after I told him about the yellow warning light about struts popping up on the dash). Can't say how happy I am that a/c decided to die before July.
