  • Ready to move on

Got a call today from Ford service guy who told me there are no parts needed anywhere. Warranty company will pay for them to pull whole plenum unit out and either repair it or send it out to be repaired. I'm hoping that can be done but..... Once something is done, think I'll move on to a Mustang or some other vehicle. So for now the '98 Mark is an only 'child'. Thusly, I'm selling all the stash I've collected for the last couple of years.

If they are willing to pull it and attempt to get it repaired some where, do it. Hopefully it can be done. Keep us posted as I'm sure someone else will eventually have this same challenge in the future.

I'm a bit confused. You say you hope it can be repaired above, but your ad for parts in the classified section makes it sound like this is quickly becoming a parts car since you'll pulling the hood scoop, brake calipers, etc.

Not to be confused! I hope it can be repaired BUT even if it is, I'm going with a different ride. I'm taking off the hood scoop and possibly the caliper covers as I wouldn't get any extra monetary credit for them being on the car once I trade it in.

Thanks for clarifying Cheryl. Hopefully they can find a source to make the repair.
