I have never seen a Galpin pink side by side with a factory 1957 Dusk Rose, but they sure look different to me.

I believe there was a picture in the EArly Bird of a dusk rose 57 very near a dusk rose Galpin at a T-bird car show. I don't seem to have a photo of it but the car show was in California. Lin Somsak may have the picture on file. btw, Galpin did label his pink tbirds as "dusk rose".

Just came across a file that shows this tbird (same vin) on ebay for 12,800 in 2016.

Did some researching on the internet and came across an article by Jon F. Thompson dated October 10, 2005 in Automotive News with this quote from Galpin's spokeperson, Bert Boeckmann.:

Bert Boeckmann recalls that one of Galpin's most successful efforts involved the 2002-05 Ford Thunderbird.

"In 1957 the original version came in a nice shade of pink with a white interior," he says. "We painted a new one that color and put on some whitewall tires. We sold a number of those.

btw, have found 5 dusk rose Galpinized tbirds in my files. I've probably missed others in the last few years.
