    Bill, that looks great! I actually bought one of those stick on's about 6 months ago from Ebay and after reading all the negative comments have not used it. Considering wrapping it chrome but haven't worked up the energy yet.

      The chrome scoop does really look nice, reminiscent of 1955-57 why not have the original scoop chrome plated by a reputable chrome plater?

        One reason ----- COST PROHIBITED.---- Plating on plastic is a special process. In some cases it is called vacuum metalizing. Set up to do one piece can be very costly if a shop would even bother to take it on. Recently I tried to wrap with automotive chrome but the scoop has too many compound curves and I may not have had enough expertise to stretch the vinyl.

          As with many car subjects I can see there being much debate on this site 20 years down the road on what's original from Ford and whats not. Apparently Tbird concepts offered 2 styles on the Hood scoops. Where is Dennis Carpenter when you need him ?
