I often wonder why people that have a choice live their lives in a climate that they really don't like. Either too hot, too cold, too much rain, too many people, terrible roads, super high taxes, influx of tourists etc: Maybe family keeps them in one location or a job they don't want to leave. I sure wouldn't want to live where I didn't thoroughly enjoy it.

P.S. Bill.....I saw that. Monday's attendance 47K. I use to go to the Wood County Fair quite often. Not nearly as large though. A total of 295,781 came to the fair this year, up from 284,556 last year. Monday's attendance lagged behind last year, with47,238 visitors compared with 57,054 last year.

Regarding August, and to quote a great baseball player, "it ain't over till it's over".

Just standing outside watering a few bushes at 10AM was unbearable. It's 88 now, and its 7:30PM. Today wasn't supposed to hit 90, but it sure did. Hit 93. Tomorrow is supposed to peak at 93. TBD.

I put the roof up last week.

September can be a weird weather month in NJ, but this is ridiculous.

I remember one late September trip to Wildwood for the boardwalk autoshow, I gave my wife the responsibility to guard our Galaxie while I took a quick swim. Other times we'd cancel because of potential hurricanes.

                      Is August over?

After a cool weekend in Jersey, the 80's are making a return.

After a chilly start yesterday morning, the cool temps vanished almost as quickly as the NY Giants Super Bowl dreams.

Oct. 1 and second top down season is here. It has been a hot 2 months with very high humidity but we will have a bout a 8 or 9 month stretch of decent cruising weather with top down accept nights are often a little damp. The southern heat is as unbearable as northern cold and I often wonder which is worse. ( NOW there's a debate )

Ron, heat or cold????!!! let's see! You don't get two feet of snow in your next of the woods now do you? End of debate!

Hadn't driven the Bird for 10 days due to much rain. Yesterday sunny and mid 70s(all week also). Had one of those milk and bread runs down south on rte 11 in Ohio, crossed through the WV panhandle, and drove north through Pa. What dang fun this car is! Hope I live long enough to completely wear this car out and can find one of those low mileage cars that some guys just look at in their garages.

Wondered why Greg goes south so early but if it's in the 40s on Oct 1 in Minnysota, guess I can understand!

Ditto heah in Challston (Charleston for those of you are from "off".) Haven't put the hard top on since I removed it after buying the car, and probably won't unless the car is passed on to an heir, or sold. 10 seconds up and 10 seconds down, that's what I like. It is especially nice in the evening when the sun don't shine. Snow, twice since I've lived here, 1989 and then again last winter. They closed the friggin' airport because they didn't have any snow removal equipment. Now they do!
