    Be sure you need a transmission, mine was the PCM. Hard shift two to three, and sluggish shift four to five.

      Mine also. But Ford garage didn't figure that out until they replaced, then pulled and rebuilt the replacement and then fixed with a re-worked PCM.

          The SCT tuner kit I have can increase shift firmness but it's nothing compared to getting a Snap On scanner and putting the trans into firm shift to test things out. It feels like it could break things with that shift!!!

            Dave, if I haven't mentioned it to you I've got a guy in kankakee that did my 03 trans, was worth the long drive

                Ron, did they reflash your current PCM or did they replace it? Bill, it sounds like they replaced yours. I've got a car with a rebuilt transmission that is shifting just as you describe.
