just to let you know that Phil contacted me directly to let me know that my seats are coming forthwith. Yippee! A year is a long time to wait but once I get them it will be well worth the wait!
i’d like to correct the perception that I asked for a refund and was denied. Not true. I have been waiting patiently.
I have ordered stuff from him in the past and have not had any issues. The seats were a bit more complicated due to Ford and licensing.
So hope to see many of you in Atlanta with my new seats!

Thank you for posting that, STR (Steph). I know that really long waits are frustrating. So do let us know when they come in and you have them installed.

I have bought a few things from Phil and never had an issue with him or the product. I have chatted with him some and dissuaded supplying Him with tail lite Bezels. He seemed difficult to communicate with so I just dropped the idea.

TBN members you truly are bigger & better than what was displayed here in this thread. Really you are.....it just doesn't show some of the time.
Mike, you and I have had private discussions on the owner of Thunderbird Specialties and until today my only problem with Phil has been pricing structure. UNTIL TODAY! Just got off the phone with an 82 year old fine car guy Don GXXXXX who I exposed to TBN awhile back. But not a computer guy but as knowledgeable and honest as the day is long IMHO. The story he tells about trying to return a $300 defective part and get his money back is ................... Authorized Return not delivered but upon investigation found delivery refused. Profanity laced conversation I won't go into. Having to go to bank/credit card Company to get money back is sad only to find a charge to his credit card double the money taken back by the bank. (That is some bad stuff. ) As we discussed I've had conversations with Phil while he escaped California a couple of years back. Seems like some of that dreadful activity is creeping back. I hope he gets his act together and I do wish him well. I just wouldn't order a thing from him going forward.

Sounds just like Thunderbird22's previous post.

I had a very bad experience with this vendor, had to file a complaint with paypal to get refunded. Then got a threatning e mail from him, saying i was baned from his company, and i'd hang dry without his " original parts",, well guess what, i'm not... and get them cheaper .

Still no answer to the question I asked on his site. I did get a voicemail on my phone after he saw this thread. He told me of the various wonders he had done to rectify the situation. His number is (310) 589-1000.

I suspect that Tanya will never receive her order. The reply she received was due to all the comments in this thread.

And yes he is still in business and still trying to ........ I reached this in my mailbox today.

Your Thunderbird is trying to tell you something ...

" Hey, I'm nearly 16 years old now, and I know you've tried to take good care of me, but I'm getting a bit tired and I need all the help I can get. Replacement parts are hard to find, and you're probably spending more keeping me running than you thought you would. If I could suggest a way for you to save a lot of money taking care of me, would you be interested?

Well there's a new book out that can tell you what I'm not able to say. And IF I could actually talk to you, a lot of what's in this book is what I'd tell you. If you plan to keep me, the stuff in this book will help you. If you've given up on me, this book might change your mind. Either way it's a solid investment. And it comes with a 100% Money-Back Guarantee! So help me help you. Get the book. If you don't like it, and you're ready to part ways with me, fair enough. But if you intend to keep me ... and rest assured, I'm sure I'll be worth more in the future than I am right now, this small investment will pay for itself many times over ... I know. Here are the details ... you decide ... I'm with you either way."

What I find interesting is all the ads Phil is running. I open Ebay and there he is! Other sites the same thing. However, if you go to his sites the latest updates are from 2017!

I would tend to agree. Let us know if and when you actually get them.

I'm fascinated that all the Phil defenders feel vindicated after all their pressure all he did was to return a phone call after a year(he didn't ship the item or even refund the money). I personally have no issue with his prices, if someone is willing to pay his price all is well. My issues with him are based on my first hand interactions with him and his questionable business practices. The icing on the cake is that he deceived many on this site into thinking they were assisting him with car repairs when in fact he was copying and pasting the information so that he could create a publication for sale.

On the issue listed on this thread, it's not uncommon for suppliers to use customers money to fund custom orders from manufacturers, when timed properly the customer may not even know it's being done and really doesn't matter.

Simply taking someones money for an item that doesn't exist is: fraud

                          noun Definition of fraud

1a: intentional perversion of truth in order to induce another to part with something of value.

b: an act of deceiving or misrepresenting.

Tanya Ringland here in Sarasota FINALLY got her new seats from TB Specialties and had them installed this week. Just saw them and they are BEAUTIFUL! She went from her original all black seats to the Thunderbird Blue perforated leather inserts and black and what a difference they have made. The quality and workmanship on these seats appears to be superb. She says it was worth the wait of 1 1/2 years! Assume Phil now has these “in stock” so delivery would be much shorter. They included new seat foam, so the car looks brand new inside and out, especially with the NM/007 wheels she installed about a year ago! Kudos to TB Specialties for recreating these beautiful seats!

Installed cost? I wouldn't bet Phil has these in stock but would guess he has these made to order after pre-payment. Either that or the price of them approaches $3,000 to $4,000.

A trim ship could do wonders for that amount of money.
