Mine's a daily driver. It's my only car. Well soon to be only. The other's a 1966 Plymouth convertible, and Bea's for sale. I've had her since 1978 and the Tbird is the first car that made me want to give it up.
I agree with other posters; the car is too pleasant and fun to drive to leave in the garage!

Bought mine as a keeper, planned to drive my old Expedition till the wheels fell off. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. Still got the old tank, but the 'Bird's just too much fun to leave at home. Plus it's a short drive to work & I have protected parking. Glad we Southerners have good weather most of the time....

...and may it be with me to forget the people I never liked, to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference..!
Just picked up my 05 Torch Red Bird today. In the past I always garaged my special cars like this and hardly used them. Did this all my life until now.Now I'm going to use it, enjoy it and get over my pyscotic paranoia of God Forbid it gets dirty,or putting on too many miles, etc.I'll keep the hard top on in the winter and use the convertible in the summer.I'll use the wifes Lincoln LS for family trips but this baby is mine alone to use, and use it I will.Of course I'll remain nutty in the cleaning and maintainace department.I hate a dirty classic so it will always be hand cleaned and detailed by me on a regular basis.
Good luck with the car Lou. Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Now that we have given our third car (a LeBaron convertible) to our granddaughter, we have only two cars. The Thunderbird has become a daily driver, except when ice, snow or salt is on the roads.
The LeBaron now, six months later, RIPs in a junkyard; victum of a bubba lady leaving church in a pickup truck in front of the granddaughter ... uninsured of course.
Wow, Kevin we haven't heard from you in a while. Good to see you're still around. Hold April 23rd open for Fitchburg this year. I'll be posting a flyer soon.

i know this meet is usually a flea market , but will we be showing our cars? If so i will have to clear off the winter wear.
We will be lined up on display for everyone to see but there isn't any formal judging. It just a nice place to begin the season with all our NE/NY/NJ T-Bird friends.

Last year we had an exceptional day, weather wise so 550+ cars showed up.
This is actually an Early Ford V8 car show and Flea Market, but for anyone to attend. All antique, Classic, Hot Rod, Tractors, Trucks etc. Along with 350+ vendors with antique parts, toys, petrolania, and automobilia.
This will be our 36th year running this show - No judging - Just fun, and it's the FIRST show in New England every year, when we all have cabin fever.
For those that choose not to stay over, they generally meet us at the hotel, just off the airfield, and caravan in with us. Last year was the 4th year of New birds and I believe we had 14 of them last year.
I spoke with Don from the Portsmouth show and invited them to join our caravan as well.
NOTE: THe Portsmouth show has judging and it is optional to the entrant. We did have some issues last year, obviously because they did not know how to judge the New Birds. No one did. I took the liberty to work with Don and now have somnme judging standards for those who want to participate. I am in the final stages with Don and hope to complete them in the next few weeks.
I'll be negotiating for hotel space in Fitchburg,MA as well as Portsmouth, NH very soon and will post on an event thread when the flyers are done and/or rates set.
