  • Windshield wiper

I took my 2005 out in the rain today (for one of the first times ever) and the windshield wipers stopped dead in their tracks after about 5 minutes of driving. The 3 amp fuse appears to be ok. Any suggestions about what might have caused the wipers to stop?

Will they move at all, or stuck in place on the windshield?

Can you hear the wiper motor running? If not, check the power cord & plug to the motor. Perhaps the wiper linkage mechanism came loose & jammed?

I do not hear the motor running and cannot see anything loose.

There is also a circuit breaker for the wiper motor ( 17508 ) . Located in the front underhood junction box . relay number F1-24 .
