I was convinced the PCM was bad based on symptoms. It still might be (time will tell), but at least for now it seems my battery wasn't up to the task and causing weird electronic gremlins and engine cutting off. Anyone seen this before?

A side note, beware that some of the major part stores list the correct battery for these birds as a non-vented version. Oreillys and Autozone showed 3 options, all non-vented (cost $115 - $185).
Autozone carries the vented battery. Got mine just one a month ago. $165.00

Hoping to get your diagnostic brains working to figure out what's going on with my non-running tbird. Searched these error codes on forum but get 0 results. It suddenly shut down while driving yesterday and now struggling to start or cutting off soon after starting (2005, 122k). When it does run, runs normally, no misfires, not in limp mode. Check engine light comes on steady,

Error Codes, in order that they showed:
P060B: Internal Control Module A/D Process Performance. //PCM issue?
P2107: Throttle actuator control module //TPS or throttle body? Simply a byproduct of the first code?

It sounded like fuel pump at first, but fuse/relay are fine and I can hear it prime. Replaced 8 Coil packs, 8 spark plugs and valve cover gasket about 2,000 miles ago, ran great following. Would it help to replace the TPS sensor? Look for a ground issue? Buy a refurbished PCM? If I fail i'll likely tow it to dealor, but i'm curious if any of you have thoughts before I do that.
P060B must a typo. Error codes start with a letter and then just numbers. Should be P0606?

Do you know what the voltage is at the battery while the car is running?
There is the possibility of the voltage regulator not operating correctly all the time.

            It's a real code:

                Tim,
The act of replacing the battery also clears up battery cable connections. I wonder if there are other corroded connections adding to the issue.
With corroded connections and during engine cranking the voltage at the ECM may dip clear down very low (at the top of the compression stroke).
If the ECM has filter capacitors that are defective then the internal ECM voltage might dipp too low and cause errors.
Another possible fix at a repair center, replace the electrolytic filter capacitors are in the ECM/PCM.

Disconnecting the 4 ECM connectors and reconnecting (knocks off corrosion) may also fix things.
The ECM connectors should have been GOLD plated but no such luck.

                  Hi HKS,

Alas, my error came back again causing stalling / rough idle. Per your advice, I'm going to try disconnecting and reconnecting the ECM (same as PCM right?) to see if there is corrosion. Question though, you noted there are 4 connectors, but I only see 3 in photos of the part? This is the one in glove box area but connectors are on engine side of firewall (passenger). If still fails i'll have to replace or rebuild... Out of other ideas. It's too unpredictable to actually drive anywhere as is.

                      Tim,
It may be 3 connectors. Be very careful so you don't bend any pins.
                      Hermann

I suspect that the PCM needs to be programed by a Ford dealer or someone who has access to the special equipment to read PCM setup.
My PCM has not failed so I am not the authority on replacing the PCM. I don't know if you can get one ready to install and no programming.

PCMs are not scarce like the FEM module.

Get some DeOxIT spray electronics cleaner off Amazon and hit all those connectors thoroughly - its the best stuff going - much better than that CRC Radio Shack stuff. Its all I use now..

                            It is worth a try.
Instead of wiggling connectors you need to completely disconnect and spray both the PCM male and connector female pins.
