Well, I've held off as long as I can. Would someone explain to me why the need for "NEW POSTS" and "TODAY'S POSTS"? Wouldn't all "new posts" be "todays posts"? Sure there is something I'm missing.

New posts are all the posts that have been made in a sub-forum since you read or marked them read. These could go back much farther than the past 24 hours. Today's posts are posts that have been made in the past 24 hours. If you have read all posts prior to the past 24 hours, then Today's posts are the same as New posts.
Different members use the forum in many different ways. It's both for you, Phil, at least for that post but for those that visit every few days, new posts lets them find any post that they missed since their last visit. There are many days that I don't have time to read all of "today's posts" but I can catch up on them if I want to by using "new posts".Limited Edition databases for 007 msg..#26 , PCR sticky, and Cashmere msg.#64
