The next photo challenge is going to be your Thunderbirds with a Fire Truck. This is National Fire Prevention Week.
Here is a bit of information Fire Prevention Week is observed each year during the week of October 9th in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire, which began on October 8, 1871, and caused devastating damage. This horrific conflagration killed more than 250 people, left 100,000 homeless, destroyed more than 17,400 structures, and burned more than 2,000 acres of land.
Since 1922, the NFPA has sponsored the public observance of Fire Prevention Week. In 1925, President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed Fire Prevention Week a national observance, making it the longest-running public health observance in our country.

I literally was on the way to take this picture when you posted your comment. It was fun. I just walked into our fire station and told the lieutenant that we were honoring fire fighters with our challenge this week and asked if I could get a picture with a truck. He was happy to pull it out and seemed to get a real kick out of us thinking about them.
It's a great challenge because it required some action on my part to fulfill it other than just pulling up an old photo. I encourage everyone to go tell your fire fighters how much you appreciate them and get a picture to meet Mike's challenge.

Sorry folks... I just went through remodeling our kitchen and I did most of the work myself. Took way too much of my time. Thanks for the votes on my picture. I threw it out on a whim, and never expected to win. Please accept my apologies for dropping the ball here.Comment
