  • Misfiring and all lights blinking

Today I thought I was finish with the repairs so I could drive to the inspection, but.....no
when I bought the car it was misfiring but I was sure it was because one catalytic converter was missing and the two lamdasonds was disconnected.
the battery was in very bad condition.
and I had to do some rewiring to get the lights leagal for Swedish roads,
no read turning lights, turning lights on the side of the car.
the wiring went good worked perfect(eaven with the motor running)I bought two new catalytic converters (universal)and welded them in place, connected the lamdasonds looks great.
i bought a new battery and mounted it and then when everything was finish today I started the car.
it was misfiring, smoke smelled funny, and all lights turned on and off, at low rpm it runs nice and no smoke.
it seems like when the light came back the rpm went down.
the flashing is randomly don't follow rpm
i suspect the COPs or maby the lambdasonds (because of the smell on the smoke)
i have searched in the topics and found some interesting tips, tomorrow I will check the grounding for the battery
but I'm writing this topic hoping that some body can help me see the problem
    thank you from Fredrik

Have you checked for codes? The plugs are Motorcraft AGSP32F or equivalent. They should be easy to find.

I would replace all plugs and coils for a start. Then see what happens.
They are Here. Scotty, beam me up!

No I must check the codes hoping they tell me what's wrong, does the car display the codes or I have to use a OBD reader at workshop?

i will start to buy the plugs you told me, I just called Ford they want 1280$ for 8cops and 331$ for all 4 lamdasonds

          thank you from Fredrik

You may want to look on ROCKAUTO.com for your parts. I order OEM motorcraft parts for my T-bird for them for a much cheaper price than the local ford dealer, plus they are usually a faster delivery as the ford dealer seems to always have a two or three week back order on all our T-bird parts. Not sure about if they ship to Sweden or what the shipping costs would be. But always a good place to do parts research! Good Luck.

Broke the law and drived to the gas station to get gas
only to find out that my Bird leaks gas too......
the electrical problem is strange it works and suddenly those things stop working:
                  soft top motor
                  head lights
                  window wipers
                  horn
                  turning lights front (back works)
                  all interior lights
driver door (power window, boot bottom, and if the dor is open when the power loss it says that the dor is open eaven when I close it)

I have heard good good reviews of the Denso coils and NGK spark plugs.

sounds like it could be a fem causing the lighting issue.
