  • I finally did it...

    ...I corrected a mistake.
Three years ago this month, I sold my Inca to Dave Egan (TBear). He's been a great friend and confidante over the past 3 years, and he knows probably better than anyone the pain I had in getting rid of that car (through post-purchase discussions).
Well this morning, I took delivery (shipped here from California) of a one-owner Inca Gold with partial white interior. It has 24,944 miles on it and it drives very solid. Thanks goes out to Cal, Gene and Julie, who were MORE than helpful in finding, discussing and examining the car for me (I couldn't drive there to look at the car due to medical appointments this month).

We are now on our way out the door to get it emissions inspected, and then titled/registered.

First snap is Jeff loading it in Santa Barbara...2nd snaps is Jeff (driver) and my dad (90 years old) looking it over this morning....other snap is of its arrival this morning.

Congrats, Jim. Hope it's trouble free for a good long while. You deserve it. Thanks for selling your other one to Dave. I've had the pleasure of traveling with it/him for many miles since.

Dang Jim, Congrats. Don't think I can remember the group being this happy for a NEW member. Many happy miles.

We all suffered with you on your trials. Bet David has the old one running well!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Dave is a great guy and if I was to sell the old IG to anyone, I'm glad it was him. We drove it just now and tranny is as smooth as silk. Drives really nice - it feels like I never left the car.

Gene - thanks for all your help and encouragement on this. It has the partial white interior...with the top off, it looks just like the one I sold Dave (without the WW's, of course).

I really like the partial white for the IG. This has been the bright spot of my day. I know that you feel the same.

Congrats Jim, we're happy for you. It's a good way to restart the year. I remember how I felt when I lost my first black KY-BYRD.
