Never understood why such a tiny space needed dual climate control. If you and your passenger can’t agree on temperature, you may have larger problems to deal with.

Either wiring or heater hoses reversed at dual coolant control valve.

Ok. A solution has been had. The problem was in the hoses being crossed. There is a connection on the rubber hoses where the dual climate control valve meets the metal tubes on the right front wheel well that feed the heater cores. A simple push in and pinch two little tabs, and off they came. I set them right in minutes and everything works as it should. Sure glad I didn't start trying to rewire it. I love an EZ fix!

Only one may be having hot flashes.
In rare cases both could be having this ailment.

If you have been on a long road trip during the time of year when having an open window at 65-70 mph is uncomfortable and either the driver or passenger is sitting in the sun & the other is in the shade THEN you will truly understand the significance of dual climate control.
Voice of experience & many long road trips.
